Meet Kier Malloy, the Camping & Education Foundation’s marketing intern.

Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, Kier has been coming to Kooch-i-ching since he was 9 years old—always for eight weeks. He is currently a junior at Missouri University’s School of Journalism, where he is double majoring in strategic communications and business management and serves as treasurer for the school’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.

At Kooch-i-ching, Kier works in the Intermediate Camp, teaches climbing and Native American dancing, and helps lead canoe and backpacking trips. In his marketing role, he writes articles for the Kooch-i-ching Tumpline, oversees all social media accounts, collects web analytics, and is a trusted advisor to Marketing Director Ben Woods.
