The Foundation House will serve as “alumni central” with merchandise for sale, and snacks and beverages from 9am to 5pm. Schedule

In addition to everything going on at the camps, we are very fortunate to be able to offer alumni some fun activities, including fishing on Rainy Lake and reliving the magic of the most famous “big boat,” the Kooch II. Whether it is a longer trip to Kettle Falls or a short tour around Deer Island, this will be a great opportunity to get out on the water. We also can have a guided tour of the historic and fascinating Ober’s Island. Finally, a few alumni have said they’d like to take part in a golf tournament or a day trip to Owakonze. Since both camps will be at full capacity this summer, we won’t be able to have alumni or parents stay at either camp or eat in either camp’s dining hall. While we’d love to be able to allow it, capacity and other factors simply prevent it.

Lodging

The following hotels are in the International Falls area and are holding rooms with a reduced rate. When calling to reserve a room, please identify that you are affiliated with Camp Kooch-i-ching and/or Ogichi Daa Kwe. Reserve now, rooms will be limited.

Americinn

This hotel has rooms starting at $153 per night. Americinn is located close to Menards, west of International Falls.

Cantilever Hotel

This hotel has rooms starting at $219 per night. Cantilever is in Ranier and is more “upscale” than the others. The group booking codes are CGKO23 for July and CGKA23 for August.

The Thunderbird is a classic resort located on the water and is very close to our camps. They only accept reservations a year in advance and will have rooms starting at $158 per night.
